Postal Truck Driver Hits, Kills Famed Attorney's Sister-In-Law

No criminal charges have been filed against the U.S. postal truck driver who police say struck and killed the sister-in-law of famed defense attorney Alan Dershowitz.
Police say Marilyn Dershowitz, 68, and her husband were biking along West 29th Street near Ninth Avenue yesterday afternoon when she was struck.
Investigators say it appears the driver, Ian Clement, did not realize he hit anyone.
Dershowitz suffered severe head trauma and was pronounced dead at Bellevue
Hospital.
Her husband says she recently retired as Manhattan Supreme Court special referee to spend more time with her grandchildren.Dershowitz had overseen divorce trials, including the case of Dr. Nicholas Bartha, who killed himself in 2006 by blowing up his East Side townhouse, so his former wife could not benefit from its sale.
