Bronx Girl Shot Near School; Suspect Remains At Large

A young girl was shot Wednesday just moments after an elementary school was dismissed in the Bronx.

Shots rang out on Fox Street in Morrisania just as students were getting out of PS 150 about a block away.

Police say a gunman fired a number of times, with one shot grazing the 8-year-old victim in her left leg.

She was taken to a hospital and is expected to recover.

After the shooting, bullet casings littered the ground and were lodged in a nearby house.

The suspect is still at large.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.
