Police search for officer impersonators

Police say they are looking for two men wanted for robbery and impersonating a police officer.

The NYPD released a video of two men who, according to police, got into an argument with a man at the Delancey Street subway station on February 4.

The victim threatened to call 911 and one of the two suspects displayed a badge and said he was a police officer. The other suspect told the victim he was an immigration officer.

When the victim tried to leave the station, the one of the suspects assaulted him and took his wallet.

The two suspects are described as Latino and are 50-50 years old. Surveillance video shows the two men leaving the station.

Anyone with information regarding these two men is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
