Police Investigate Multiple Shootings




New Jersey State Police say they're investigating multiple shooting early Saturday morning.

The first shooting took place on Interstate-78 near Newark around 1:15 a.m. when police say they found a woman in a car with a gunshot wound to her arm.

According to police, the unidentified woman was taken to University Hospital in Newark. The victim is in stable condition.

The second shooting was reported by police about a half-hour later. Police say they responded to a call of a one-car crash on Vauxhall Road in Union. The crash was about a mile from the Garden State Parkway.

Police say the unidentified male driver of the car had suffered a gunshot wound and he was taken to University Hospital. He was later pronounced dead from his injuries.

Police say they have made not arrests and are continuing with their investigation.
