Police Hunt For Suspect In Brazen Queens Shooting



The hunt is on for a man who brazenly opened fire on police in broad daylight on a Queens street.

Investigators say two officers were walking in Jackson Heights shortly before 4 p.m. Friday when they were told about a man acting suspiciously at 37th Road and 76th Street.

Police say the officers walked over and saw the man in the above surveillance video. He was wearing a fake beard, a hat and dark glasses.

When they asked him for ID, police say he pulled out a black revolver and fired twice before taking off down 77th Street.

The officers weren't hurt. They chased the man but did not find him.

Police say they did find a fake beard, hat and glasses in the street.

The suspect is said to be in his 30s, around 5-feet-9-inches tall with a thin build.
