Fire Truck Hits Jeep While Responding To Brooklyn Fire

Two firefighters were hurt Wednesday while on their way to fight a fire in Brooklyn.

Officials say it happened when a fire truck got into an accident while heading to Park Slope. The truck collided with a jeep at the intersection of Bergen Street and New York Avenue in Crown Heights.

The passenger side of the Jeep was smashed, forcing it onto the curb and into the side of an apartment building.

Officials say the crew was on its way to a fire at a building on nearby Seventh Avenue.

Two civilians also suffered injuries.
