Manhattan Apartment Fire Injures Five



Five people were injured Saturday, including two children, after a fire broke out inside a Manhattan apartment building.

The New York City Fire Department says flames broke out on the fifth floor of 370 Manhattan Avenue in Harlem just before 5 a.m.

The blaze was under control about an hour later.

Two firefighters and two children suffered smoke inhalation and minor injuries.

Another person suffered more serious injuries.

All of the victims were taken to the hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
