Two men involved in a single-engine plane crash in Somerset County suffered only minor injuries, authorities said.
The crash at Somerset Airport in Bedminster about 6 p.m. Friday evening left the plane, a model CH7A built in 2009, nose-down near the runway.
FAA spokeswoman Holly Baker told The Star-Ledger of Newark that the American Champion plane was "landing for unknown reasons" when it came down short of the runway.
One man had facial injuries and the other had ankle pain, a fire chief told the Asbury Park Press.
One of the victims went to Morristown Hospital for treatment but the other declined medical transport.
Neither occupant was identified.
The airport is less than two miles west of Interstate 287 and less than three miles south of Interstate 78.
