NYPD: Cops Kill Gunman in Brooklyn

Police say the suspect burst into Peter's Tire and Rim Shop just before 5 p.m. Monday and said "Peter,  this is for you."

He then started shooting. Police say he struck his 49-year-old victim in the right shoulder and hand.

The suspect fled on foot and was confronted by two officers a few blocks away. Police say the man pointed a gun at them and said he wasn't going to be taken alive.

That's when the officers opened fire. Each fired one shot. The man was pronounced dead at Brookdale Hospital. His name has not been released.

The man shot in the tire shop was in stable condition.
