Police Investigate Multiple Weekend Shootings



Police are investigating two fatal shootings in Brooklyn that topped off a a particularly violent weekend in the city.

Investigators say one man was killed and three others were wounded early this morning on East 54th Street in Brooklyn.

Another man was shot in the head on Blake Avenue.

In the Bronx, eight people were shot early Sunday morning at a house party in the Bronx.

The shots rang out on East 221st Street in Williamsbridge.

One man is in critical condition.

Between 6 a.m. Saturday and 6 a.m. Sunday police say there were 14 shootings and 24 victims in the Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens.

Mayor Michael Bloomberg says the federal government should step in and help.

"The bottom line is there are too many guns in the hands of our kids and we gotta do something about it," Bloomberg said.

Police are looking for Oneil Dasilva, 17, from Mount Vernon in connection with the Bronx party shootings.
