One person is dead and up to seven others wounded after a shooting broke out at an East New York house party.
It happened about 3:15 a.m. in the area of Belmont Ave. and Wyona St. Police were still actively investigating the scene as the sun came up on Saturday morning.
Apparently it was an advertised "Freaky Friday" house party with flyers circulated showing a $5.00 a head cover charge to get in.
A lot of young people from the neighborhood showed up and there apparently was a fight that ended in gunfire.
Of the eight victims, a 20-year-old man, was killed. His name has not been released.
According to police three people are in custody.
Police say that two men who got into and argument and started firing may have had gang affiliations.
