Brooklyn Shootout Injures 10-Year-Old Boy


A 10-year-old boy is recovering in the hospital after police say he was hit by a bullet during a shootout in Brooklyn.

Investigators say the boy and his father were walking outside a store on Broadway in Williamsburg, just before 11 p.m. when two rival groups of teens who had been arguing nearby exchanged gunfire.

One of the bullets hit the child.

He was taken to Bellevue hospital where authorities say his injury does not appear to be life threatening.

No arrests have been made.

An investigation is ongoing.
