A man was shot and killed in a Brooklyn barbershop Saturday afternoon, authorities said.
The man was shot in the head at about 3:50pm local time in a barbershop near the intersection of Flatbush Avenue and Cortelyou Road, a FDNY spokesman said. He was pronounced dead at the scene and was not taken to a hospital.
The death is the second murder in a Brooklyn barbershop this week. Andrew Burke, 79, was fatally shot as he sat in front of Fest's Barbershop on Marcus Garvey Boulevard on Wednesday after two gunmen accidentally hit him while firing at a man they were chasing. It is not yet known whether the man killed Saturday was his shooter's intended target, cops said.
The two shootings took place within four miles of one another.
